Learn to Play

MGA image jpWe think it is important to gain experience of playing to a crowd, no matter how big or small, and so we like to organise a couple of concerts a year for our students.

If you’re very keen to progress and like goals, then we recommend working towards grades.

One of the most fun activities about music making is playing with friends, which is why we strongly recommend forming a duo, trio or a band with some friends or other Manchester Guitar Academy students. Not only is it a great opportunity to socialise, but it also is an excellent opportunity to improve general musicianship and ensemble skills.

The Manchester Guitar Academy uses the ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall (Rock School) grade exam syllabus. But if exams are not your thing or you want to take your own path, don’t worry because we tailor your repertoire, supplementary studies and learning experience to suit your individual style.

The Manchester Guitar Academy prides itself on incorporating aural and theory training within guitar lessons. With this style of tuition, each student not only gains the ability to arrange and compose, but will also improve their listening skills which develops a deeper appreciation of music.

Studying at the Manchester Guitar Academy is subject to some simple terms and conditions. To download our t&c’s click here: Manchester Guitar Academy Terms and Conditions PDF.pdf
